Cafe Sketching with my ipad

 Another cafe drawing using my iPad.  I have noticed some new coffee shop that have opened in my area, I will need to go check them out.

 I was in my favorite Coffee Shop and this guy came in and sat down with his cup of coffee.  He was talking to himself, seemed to me to be homeless.  I took out my iPad and started to draw him.  He was a good and interesting subject, he was still there when I left.

Urban Sketching with the iPad.

Urban sketching is taking your sketchbook, or other art supplies, in my case my iPad, and go to an urban location and sketch, paint or draw what is of interest.  It is sort of an urban Plein air session.  I have done this a lot of times, here in my own area, as well as Boston, Montreal, and New York City.

Another cafe drawing.  When I took my seat, this guy came in, grabbed his coffee and sat down.  He would take a sip then put his head down for several seconds, take a sip, put his head down.  He never looked at me or anyone else.  He was a good subject to draw.

 Another in my series, Cafe Drawings.  This woman seemed to be daydreaming.  She was in the cafe for over an hour nursing one cup of coffee.  I think she may be homeless, but not sure. She was a good subject for a drawing.

Urban Sketching

In love urban sketching.  To go to a location in an urban area, set up, take out your sketch pad or in this case, my ipad is exciting.  I have always loved the pulse of the city.  There is so much taking place, life is being lived out on the street.

Another Cafe Drawing.  As long as I can get to a cafe, I will never run out of people to sketch.  It is the perfect setting!
